Nick & Katie’s Couple’s Session

A Winter shoot at the Highline and South Side in Pittsburgh, PA

Pittsburgh has a tendency to feel dull and lifeless in the winter – if you ask any Pittsburgh photographer they will tell you that winter sessions are less than ideal. That is where the Highline comes in. It is new and so full of life and color and makes it so easy to brighten up a session.

I found this place through a couple of mine last July, and I am so thankful to them! It is the perfect mix of urban and contemporary with views of the city and colors that pack a punch and make a statement. There are so many elements to play with at the Highline in the Southside. It is right across from the Heritage Trail and Color Park and you are able to feature so many different styles within just a few steps.

Katie & Nick are such a fun couple, and even brought their furry friend Chance along because he is such an important part of the family. They had never had professional photos done, so it was such an honor to photograph this session with them and create new memories.

Nick is my fiance’s best man in our wedding coming up in 2023, so we knew we would all have a blast together in such a fun location in the South Side; and I was right!
