I Planned a Styled Shoot!

If you know me you know my toxic trait is “I can do that”. So naturally after attending a styled shoot in March of 2022, I immediately thought to myself “I can do that…” so I spent some time reflecting on the idea and ended up planning and hosting one on February 5th, 2023! 

I want to highlight all the vendors/pieces that went into this amazing day. 

This shoot was fully planned down to every last detail and hosted by me, Maggie, however I have to highlight that on the day of I had a lot of help in setup and keeping everything running smoothly (especially with the balloon wall!) from Ashley at Skye’s the Limit Event Planning. 

Some vendors truly understood the vision and what I wanted it to be and nothing would have come together without them: Steel City Florals who did the florals for the table, signage, flay lay station, and the bride’s bouquet; The Smokey Rose Press who took on all of the stationery and signage designing. I have never had so few notes for someone in graphic design until working with Brittany who nailed it on draft one; and finally, Maddie from MaddNik Bridal who blew me away with the hair and makeup that made our model’s natural beauty shine!

Some other pieces that I brought together to seal the little details were the studio itself at Opya Studios, it was the perfect simple and modern space to host my bright colored lovefest. The dress was rented from Raw & Golden Rentals, the chairs were rented from Event Source, and the amazing pink wine glasses were rented from Glass Hause Co. On an even smaller scale we had custom lip cookies at the table (and also some to eat) made by Becca Bakes Cookies (The Bee’s Bakery) and some rental items from Wildly Styled Shoots that brought the flat lay together. 

Finally, it would be a mistake to not mention our stunning models Alix and Brennan who took every direction and had fun with everything the photographers asked.
